How to Attend an EH Publishing Webinar
Find a Live Webinar
There are two ways to find out about EH Publishing webinars:
- To see all available upcoming EH Publishing webinars, visit our WebEx website.
- Email to be added to the webinars mailing list. Please note your publication and/or event of interest.
Register For the Webinar
- If using the EH Publishing WebEx site, click Register next to the event and fill in the information requested.
- If using an EH Publishing email, follow the registration link in your reminder email to get to the event landing page on WebEx. Then register following instructions above.
Please note the best platforms for Webinar viewing are Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox for Windows and Mozilla Firefox for Mac. Mac users may experience difficulty viewing some presentations.
Join the Webinar
There are two ways to join our live webinars:
- If joining from the EH Publishing WebEx website Go to the EH Publishing WebEx website and find the listing for the event you are registered for. Click “Join” on the line next to the event title and enter your information used to register in the gray “Join Now” box and submit.
- If joining from the reminder email: Click the given URL to access the event’s Join page on WebEx and enter your information used to register in the gray “Join Now” box and submit.
Please note that when you join the webinar, your browser may begin a quick download from WebEx. This should take only a few moments and enables you to view the webinar via WebEx.
Attend the Webinar
Here are some tips to get the most out of your experience.
- There will be no sound on the line until the event starts. We generally start webinars 2-3 minutes after the hour.
- All event times are Eastern.
- Make sure to turn your computer audio up if you are using audio broadcast.
- Other attendee names are blocked from your view.
Participate in the Webinar
Polls - To participate in polls, please make your choice(s) and click submit when the presenter makes the poll available. Your feedback is valuable and helps shape our discussion.
Communicate - To ask questions about the presentation, including display issues, audio issues, and anything else impacting your experience, please use the Chat window and communicate with the Host, EH Publishing. We will try to get right back to you with an answer.
Question - To ask questions of the moderator or presenter, please submit them in the Q&A window at the bottom right of your screen. Most of our events feature a 10-15 minute question and answer period and we use those submitted questions to get things started.
Listen to Webinar Audio
We provide two options for webinar audio:
- Audio via toll teleconference available on all events. There are three places you can find this information. Please make sure to dial-in and use your event number and attendee ID. To join the teleconference, use the information in your reminder email. To display teleconference instructions once you’ve joined the event, enter the information that shows on the pop-up window when you join the WebEx interface. To display teleconference instructions once you’ve joined the event, choose Join Teleconference on the Communicate menu.
- Audio broadcast via the Internet available on some events. To join the audio broadcast during an event, choose Join Audio Broadcasting on the Communicate menu. Turn up your speakers to hear the live audio.
Please note that audio broadcast clarity and connection is dependent on the user’s Internet connection.
Webinar Follow-up
EH Publishing will follow every webinar with an email to registrants. All registrants will receive a follow-up email – those who attended the live event, and those who did not attend the live event.
The follow-up email may contain the following:
- A URL to view the recording of the event
- A URL to download additional presentation, video, or audio files
- Any information that may help you with your webinar experience
