CE Pro Names High Impact Products of the Year
Framingham, Mass. – November 20, 2007 – CE Pro Magazine, the leading trade publication for custom residential integration professionals who install consumer electronics, has named its fourth annual CE Pro High-Impact Products (CHIPs) of the Year for 2007.
The list is led by Crestron Electronics Inc., a leading manufacturer of automation controls based in Rockleigh, N.J., for its TPMC-8X WiFi Touchpad and AMS Media System. As recognition, Crestron was named the Innovator of the Year.
“The CHIPs are unlike any other awards in the industry,” says Jason Knott, editor-in-chief of CE Pro. “The winners are exclusively nominated, and then voted on, by integrators. The winners really do represent the best among the rank-and-file of custom installation.”
Products are gauged on criteria such as whether they help a dealer open up a previously “untapped” market segment, boost an integrator’s efficiency by making his installations faster and less complicated, or increase a custom installer’s profitability by offering a solid margin. Products from categories such as audio, video, control/automation, installation, power management, digital phone systems, screens and more are recognized.
“The true value of a product to an integration professional is how much of a difference does it make to their individual business,” says Knott. “These 22 products represent the biggest difference-makers.”
