EH Publishing, Inc. was founded in 1994, shortly after CEO Ken Moyes acquired Electronic House magazine, a small publication with 2,000 subscribers which had been launched in 1986 by two home automation enthusiasts. Ken became interested in home automation as the CEO of a $110 million security distribution company. He believed home automation would provide exciting new opportunities for the somewhat stale security industry.
When the security company was sold, Ken enlisted colleague Julie Jacobson and original Electronic House magazine editor Lisa Montgomery (both of whom are still with EH) to start up EH Publishing and create media products about home electronics and home automation. Originally an 8-page insert in Electronic House magazine, CE Pro (then called HA Pro) has grown to become the leading trade publication for the custom electronics installation community.
Since 1994, EH Publishing has grown to include top consumer and trade magazines, trade shows, original research, and associated Websites in nine different markets including consumer, custom and commercial electronics, IT, house of worship, pro audio, robotics, supply chain and materials handling.
In all of these endeavors, EH strives to produce premium quality products and provide the highest level of service to give the greatest value to our customers--our readers, our advertisers, and members of the various industries we serve.
