Senior Web Designer

EH Publishing's Internet Group is looking for a well rounded, strong, experienced web design professional to join our team and have impact on our busy project schedule beginning on day 1!

The candidate for this position must have a solid foundation in designing and developing web sites, both content-based and e-commerce. We are looking for someone who has a background in design, but understands and can construct the framework necessary to support their designs. The person in this position will work with multiple business units within EH Publishing to develop and/or enhance their online properties and presence. This person will also be instrumental in helping these business units strategize and build requirements for work to be completed, and utilize their web knowledge to deliver forward thinking, but sustainable and practical online business solutions.

Qualifications:
• Strong HTML, CSS, and PhP Skills
• Experience working with content management systems (Expression Engine experience/familiarity a plus)
• Experience designing business sites that generate revenue via ad serving and sponsorships, as well as sites that utilize paid content models and e-commerce.
• Strong UI design skills and knowledge of taxonomical structure/hierarchy as it related to design.
• Web development skills across multiple browser types and devices.
• Strong understanding and implementation background of SEO best practices in design and site/content presentation and construction.
• A background in design/art/online marketing.
• Experience in working on sites constructed on a PhP/MySQL foundation and "open" types of web CMS and platforms (like Joomla, Drupal, etc.).
• Good sense of Internet business and how web sites generate revenue.
• Ability to work with both internal and external customers.
• Ability to lead projects, multi-task, delegate and set direction/prioritization of projects.
• Good communication skills, ability to set proper expectations and ability to work within tight deadlines.
• Experience in working the entire web development process, from requirements, to build, to testing, to delivery.
• Experience developing for mobile platforms also a plus!
